Gold prices witness sharp cut by Rs 1,500 to Rs 102,000 per tola

April 13, 2021 (MLN): The price of 24 karat per tola gold observed a sharp decline of Rs. 1,500 on Tuesday and was sold at Rs. 102,000 against the sale at Rs. 103,500 yesterday.

According to the data released by Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of ten-gram 24 karat gold also dipped by Rs. 1,287 and was traded at Rs. 87,448 against the price of Rs. 88,735 reported yesterday, while ten-gram 22 karat gold valued at Rs. 80,161.

The price of per tola silver also decline by Rs. 60 and was sold at Rs. 1,300 against yesterday’s close of Rs. 1,360, while that of ten-gram silver dropped by Rs. 51.44 and was traded at Rs. 1,165.98.

Followed by higher treasury yields, the demand of yellow metal was dented by $11 and was stood at US $1,730 in international market against the previous day’s rate of US $1,741 per ounce, while silver was priced at $24.96 showing a dip of $0.24.
