Gold prices surge to $1,792 an ounce on week US yields

November 5, 2021 (MLN): The gold price in the international markets surged by $13 to $1,792 per ounce due to renewed weakness in US Treasury yields. Meanwhile, the investors’ focus has now shifted towards the much-awaited US Nonfarm Payrolls data.

While on the domestic front, the demand for the yellow metal remained firmed today as the price of 24-karat gold clocked in at Rs120,200 per tola.

According to data provided by Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold and 10gm 22k gold remained stagnant at Rs103,052 and Rs94,464 respectively.

Similarly, the price of 24-karat silver and 10-gram of 24-karat silver remained unchanged at Rs1,420 and Rs1,217.42 respectively.
