Gold prices climb by Rs450 to sale at Rs109,350 per tola

July 15, 2021 (MLN): After a slight gain yesterday, gold prices went up further in today’s trade as the price of 24 karat per tola gold witnessed an increase of Rs450 and was traded at Rs109,350 in the local market against its sale at Rs 108,900 the previous day.

 The price of 10-gram 24 karat also jumped by Rs386 and was sold at Rs93,750 whereas that of ten-gram 22 karat went up to Rs 85,938, Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association reported.

On a similar note, the price of per tola silver rose by Rs20 to Rs1,460 whereas that of ten-gram silver went up by Rs17.15 to Rs1,251.71.

In international market, gold prices climbed to $1,825 an ounce, up by $8, after U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Jeremy Powell soothed investor fears by reassuring that he was in no rush to tighten policy, despite a recent spike in inflation readings. While silver was valued at $26.23 an ounce.
