Gold price edges higher to $1,735 an ounce

March 18, 2021 (MLN): Gold prices rebounded today as Asian markets rallied amid Fed’s dovish performance that dragged the US dollar index down. In the international market, yellow metal prices edged higher by USD 7 and traded at USD 1,735 per ounce, while silver was valued at 26.10 an ounce.

The domestic bullion market followed a similar trend as the price of 24 karat gold per tola and 10-gram jumped by Rs 200 and Rs 171 to settle at Rs 106,600 and Rs 91,392 respectively.

On the other hand, the price of silver remained static as 24-Karat silver per tola and 10-gram were available at Rs 1,370 and Rs 1,174.55 respectively, data provided by Karachi Sarafa Association revealed.
