Gold inches lower, as tola drops to Rs 111,800

February 11, 2021 (MLN): Gold rates inched lower on Thursday in the domestic bullion market, as the price of a single tola of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs 200 and was sold for Rs111,800 against the price of Rs 112,000 reported yesterday.

Likewise, 10 grams of 24k gold also witnessed a decline of Rs 172 to settle at Rs 95,850 against the previous close of Rs 96,022, data provided by the All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association revealed.

On the other hand, the price of silver remained static as 24-Karat silver and 10-gram of silver were available at Rs 1,390 per tola and Rs 1,191.7 respectively.

In the International market, despite softer dollar and lower treasury yields, the price of gold surged by USD 1 and was traded at USD 1,842 an ounce against USD 1,841 an ounce yesterday, while silver was valued at 27.16 an ounce, the association reported.
