Gold edges up by Rs500 to trade at Rs109,000

July 2, 2021(MLN): The price of gold surged by Rs500 on Friday in the domestic bullion market, as the price of 24 karat gold stood at Rs109,000 per tola against its yesterday’s sale at Rs108,500 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold also moved up by Rs429 and traded at Rs93,450 while the 10gm 22k gold valued at Rs85,662, as per the data provided by the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.

With regards to silver, the association reported that the price of 24-Karat silver per tola and 10-gram silver remained flat at Rs1,410 and Rs1,208.84, respectively.

Internationally, the safe-haven gold continued to attract the investors’ interest by $11 and traded at $1,787 on the back of rising concerns over the spread of the Delta variant of Covid-19, while investors are still awaited for the US labor market data to find clues regarding Federal Reserve’s next move. Silver was valued at $26.20.
