Gold edges higher on Monday

February 22, 2021 (MLN): Gold prices edged higher today in the domestic billion market, as the per tola price of 24 karat gold increased by Rs 400 and was sold at Rs110,750 against the sale at Rs110,350, reported on Friday.

Likewise, 10-grams of 24 karat gold also witnessed a rise of Rs 343 to settle at Rs 94,950 against the previous close of Rs 94,607, data provided by All Sindh Sarah Jewellers Association revealed.

Similarly, silver increased by Rs 20 and was traded at Rs 1,400 against its sale at Rs 1,380 while that of 10-gram silver increased by Rs 12.15 and was traded at Rs 1,200.27 against Rs 1,183.12 .

In the international market, the price of gold climbed by USD 14 on the back of softer dollar and was available at USD 1,798 an ounce against USD 1,784 an ounce in the previous session, while silver was valued at Rs 27.54 an ounce, the associated reported.
