Gold dips by Rs100 to settle at Rs110,200 per tola

August 06, 2021 (MLN): Gold rates inched down in the local bullion market today as the price of 24 karat per tola gold witnessed a decline of Rs100 and was traded at Rs110,200 in the local market against its sale at Rs110,300 per tola the previous day.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram 24 karat also dropped by Rs85 and was sold at Rs94,479 while that of ten-gram 22 karat traded at Rs 86,605, as per Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association reported.

On the other hand, the price of 24-Karat silver per tola and 10-gram silver remained stagnant at Rs1,460 and Rs1,251.71, respectively.

Internationally, the gold prices declined to a more than one-week low on the back of strong dollar as the anticipated data of labor market is signaling strong economic recovery. The price of gold edged lower by $12 to clock in at $1,799 per ounce, while silver was traded at $25.03 an ounce.
