August 23, 2021 (MLN): Gold prices on Monday closed flat in domestic bullion market on dull buying as the price of 24 karat and 10-gram of gold remained stagnant at Rs109,500 per tola and Rs93,879 respectively.

On a similar note, the price of silver also remained static as 24-Karat silver and 10-gram of silver were available at Rs 1,400 per tola and Rs 1,200.27 respectively.

On the contrary, in the international market, yellow metal prices edged higher today after the U.S. dollar retreated from multi-month highs. In addition, investor concerns that the Delta coronavirus variant could dampen the global economic recovery also lifted bullion's safe-haven appeal. Gold prices strengthened by $11 and traded at $1,792 per ounce, while silver was valued at 23.50 an ounce.
