November 27, 2018 (MLN): Gold prices edged lower on Tuesday as the dollar stabilized amid fears of a global economic slowdown and increasing pessimism resulting from U.S-China trade war, ahead of the G20 meeting that will take place in Argentina on Friday.

Spot gold was down 0.1 percent at $1,220.81 per ounce at 0126 GMT, whereas US gold futures were flat at $1,222.2 per ounce.

Similarly, record Saudi oil production weighed down crude prices on Tuesday following cautious trading ahead of the G20 meeting.

International Brent crude oil futures briefly dipped below $60 per barrel before moving back to $60.10 per barrel at 0147 GMT, still down 38 cents, or 0.6 percent, from their last close.
