Chief Minister (CM) Gilgit-Baltistan, Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman on Tuesday commended the efforts of administrative secretaries of all the departments for utilizing 100 percent developmental budget aimed to bring improvement in the socio-economic conditions of GB.
He said that 100pc development budget was also utilized under strict financial discipline last year and resultantly, the federal government has enhanced GB development budget to Rs15 billion from Rs8 billion, an official statement said here.
He opined that if the government officials continued efforts with such spirit and dedication, all the mega development projects would be completed within stipulated time and people would be largely benefited.
The development budget of GB was only Rs5 billion during past regimes against which Rs2bln were lapsed, he informed.
He said PML-N government had accorded highest priority to GB by introducing reforms in the institutions as a result of which 100pc utilization of budget was made possible.
