FM Rana Afzal, Miftah Ismail meet World Bank delegation

Adviser to PM on Finance, Miftah Ismail, Minister of State for Finance Rana Mohammad Afzal meet World Bank Vice President for South Asia, Annette Dixon, Ms. Snezana Stoiljkovic, IFC Regional Vice President, Asia and Pacific, and other members of the visiting World Bank delegation.

Pakistan’s current State of Economy was discussed at length during the meeting, also the progress of ongoing on Developmental projects financed by the Government – WB partnership were also reviewed.

Mr. Miftah Ismail, while addressing the gathering said that despite the present challenges, “Economy is moving on the path of growth”. Highlighting the challenges being faced on the external front he said that, “Improvement in exports helped lessened trade deficit”.

The meeting also discussed Pakistan future, on which Miftah Ismail said that, “The future holds better opportunities for Pakistan.” He also acknowledged the visit of World Bank Vice President, Mr. Annette Dixon. He said that “World Bank – Pakistan economic partnership to be further nurtured with WB Vice President’s visit: Miftah Ismail.”
