September 30, 2020 (MLN): The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the date for filing income tax returns/ statements till Dec 08, 2020.

According to a notification issued by the FBR, in exercise of its power under section 214A of the Income tax ordinance of 2001, has extended the date of filing of income tax returns/statements for the year 2020.

The extension is applicable to Individuals and associations of person as well as companies who were required to files the income tax statements/returns by September 30, 2020.

The FBR pointed out that no further extension for filing of income tax returns/statements will be granted.
