OUTLOOK FOR KHARIF 2021

Total available DAP during Kharif 2021 would be about 583 tonnes which will include 113 thousand tonnes of opening inventory, 420 thousand tonnes of domestic production and 50 thousand tonnes of imported supplies. The total demand for DAP is estimated at around 1012 thousand tonnes. The supply-demand gap will be filled by imports through the private sector.

Currently, the prices of DAP are at a higher level (550-555 $ per tonnes FOB). Therefore, DAP importers are waiting for softening of the market as China's domestic season is coming to an end and soon Chinese DAP will be available for export. This will help to improve availability in the domestic market.
