CPPA-G seeks 44 paisas increase in power tariff for March

Central Power Purchase Agency Guarantee Limited (CPPA-G) has sought 44 paisas increase in power tariff for the month of March under monthly fuel adjustment formula.

In a petition submitted to National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), the CPPA-G maintained the cost of per unit remained at Rs.7.0866/kWh against the reference fuel charges of Rs.6.6429/ kWh per unit fixed for March.

The CPPA-G sought an increase of 44 paisas in the tariff. A total 8,468.84 Gwh electricity was generated during the said period and the hydel share stood at 9.98 per cent, coal 14.46 per cent, Furnace Oil 16.14 per cent, Gas 21.28 per cent, RLNG 24.32 per cent, nuclear 8.99 per cent and wind 1.71 per cent, the petition said. The regulator will hold hearing on Tuesday in power tariff increase, according to APP.
