October 19, 2018 (MLN): As per the data released by Pakistan Cotton Ginners’ Association, the total arrivals of cotton bales till October 15^th this year amounted to 6.044 million bales.

The total number of bales sold were 4.407 million out of which around 4.331 million bales were sold to textile mills and 75,797 bales were sold to exporters.

The overall unsold stock of cotton accounted to 495,658 bales for the period till October 15^th.

During the corresponding period last year, total cotton arrivals stood at 5.984 million bales.

This year’s fortnightly flow of cotton was at 2.023 million bales as compared to 1.993 million bales of the corresponding period last year.
