The markets moved up exact same percentage as that of the last session (+0.52%). The markets have shaken off the negative momentum culminating from the JIT proceedings. The Supreme Court has concluded the hearing, reserved its judgement and a decision is expected within seven to ten days.

However, the political circles and the movement within in the ruling party seem to hint at an ouster of the incumbent Prime Minister. With a year left in his tenure, the Ruling Party is yet to decide on the candidate who will be put in place of Nawaz Sharif.

The JIT proceeding and the aftermath have shaken the markets in the incumbent year, as of today the markets are down 4.76 percent in the first 7 months of 2017.
