KSE100 Index ended Wednesday’s trading session with a 9.51 points decline (-0.02%) to close at 45,908.39 as volume declined to reach 175.73 million shares traded.

The index was up and down during the first few hours of activity.  KSE-100 index rose up in the first hour of the activity gaining 170 points but that was the peak of KSE-100 index during the day. The index then moved downwards shedding all of its early gains. However, after a the index picked up gaining more than 120 points at 02:30 pm right before witnessing a steep decline to end the session in negative.

Market lost a total of 9.51 points or a decline of -0.02% during today’s session. The index touched an intra-day low of 45857.92 points, a high of 46106.72 and closed at a tally of 45908.39 points.

The net gainers by price during today’s session were; Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited UPFL +210.00, Hinopak Motors HINO +65.63, Service Industries Limited SRVI +40.00, Archroma Pakistan ARPL +35.67 and Mari Petroleum MARI +35.48.

The net decliners by price during today’s session were; Phillip Morris Pakistan PMPK -113.00, Bata Pakistan BATA -70.00, Khyber Tobacco Limited KHTC -39.49, Wyeth Pakistan WYETH -33.27 and Sapphire Textiles SAPT -25.02.

All Share Volume increased by 47.84 Million to 175.73 Million Shares. Market Cap decreased by Rs.2.2 Billion.

Total companies traded were 365 compared to 368 from the previous session. Of the scrips traded 141 closed up, 204 closed down while 20 remained unchanged.

Total trades decreased by 10,332 to 73,376.

Value Traded decreased by 1.95 Billion to Rs.8.26 Billion
