This is the fourth day since Index has closed positive, since Friday last week adding 415 points at the close. The index moved up by 0.89 percent, driven by MSCI led stocks. The most points added to the index came from UBL, LUCK, SNGP, MCB and HBL cumulatively adding more than 200 points to the index.
Index gained further in addition to the last three days backed by the institutional buying. Sector wise performance was led by Media, Financials and Steel positive 3.5 percent. Volumes were led by Engineering, Chemical, and Cement and Financials stocks in today’s session.
The earnings and results seasons may heighten the faltering interest in the index for coming days.
The indexed gained a total of 415.61 points during the day, closing on 46949.04 points. KSE-100 touched an intraday high of 46989.27 points whereas fell to a low of 46533.43 points.
