November 7, 2018 (MLN): Deputy Chief of Mission Chinese Embassy Mr. Lijian Zhao has brushed off rumors regarding a rift between China and Pakistan on a possible bailout package.

In a recent tweet on a social media platform, he stated that “all rumors were put to rest after Prime Minister Imran Khan visited China.”

He confirmed that “China has agreed to help Pakistan and a package is under discussion.”

Furthermore, he said that the PM's visit had set direction for next five years, and that both the parties had agreed to hold 8^th Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) of CPEC in a month.

China has also agreed to increase its imports from Pakistan to further enhance its economic and bilateral cooperation with Pakistan, he added.
