January 15, 2019 (MLN): Silkbank Limited, in its latest notification to Pakistan Stock Exchange, has announced the cessation of its Chairman and Director, Mr. Munnawar Hamid, with effect from January 2, 2019.

Mr. Hamid was elected as Independent Director and Chairman of the Board, in March 2008 and was re-elected as an Independent Director by the shareholders of the Bank. Mr. Hamid was also appointed as the Chairman by the Board in August 2011, August 2014, and August, 2017 and has held this position since then.
