May 31, 2021: At a CDWP meeting presided over by Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan, cleared fifteen development projects with a cumulative cost of Rs45.09billion and recommended four projects worth Rs124.09bn to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) for further consideration.
Senior officials from Planning Commission and Federal Ministries/Divisions also participated in the meeting while representatives from Provincial Governments participated through video conferences.
Fifteen Projects related to Transport & Communication were considered in the meeting.
Central Development Working Party recommended 4 projects worth Rs124.09bn to ECNEC for further approvals namely “Reconstruction of Zuaida Jalal Road from M-8 Iranian Border Radeeq Turbat and Balochistan” with Rs12020.357mn and “Construction not Panjugoor Gichak Awaran Road, District Panjugoor Awaran” worth Rs16842.258mn and “Dualization of Lila Interchange (M-2) via P.D Khan to Jhelum I/C Bypsses Length 128 km District, Jhelum” worth Rs13648mn and “Dualization of Khuzdar Kuchlak Section of National Highway (N-25) Length 330.52 km” worth Rs81582.219mn.
Central Development Working Party approves 11 projects worth Rs. 45.09 billion in the forum namely “Construction of Road from Buleda to Proom length 60 km” worth Rs2995.586mn and “Construction of Rod from Proom to Jalgai” worth Rs3399.39mn and “Construction of Road Proom to Chedgi Road” worthRs5170.832mn and “Construction of Road from Naag to Gichak” worth Rs2363.873mn “Completion of Niheng Bridge at Rodbun, District Kech” worth Rs348.231mn and “Widening/ Improvement/ Rehabilitation of Road from Chowkiwal (N-55) Tehsil Taunsa to N-70 Chapper Balochistan via Zain, Bharti & Kharar Buzdar District DG Khan” worth Rs8770mn.
“Construction of Road from Bhawalpur (N-5) to Jhangra Sharqi Interchange District Bhawalpur” worth Rs3900mn and “Upgradation of Kalabagh Shakarda Road District Mianwali” worth Rs2019mn aand “Dualization of Karan Dad Quershi to Qasba Gujrat 12 km” worth Rs2454mn and “Construction of Approaches on both sides of Shikh Khalifa Bridge over River Indus along with Guide Banks Rahim Yar Khan” worth Rs7752.479mn and and “Dualization of Rod from Mandi Bahauddin City to Sarai Alamgir Canal Pull Main G.T Road via Village Rasool District Mandi Bahauddin 46 km Length” worth Rs. 5916.713mn.
