Another dull day on trading floors

March 21, 2019 (MLN): Benchmark 100-Index lost yet another session to the bears today after losing 163 points to conclude the session at 38,384 points.

Fertilizer, Power Generation and E&P Companies emerged as the key drivers of the index’s performance as they cumulatively snatched approximately 115 points. The major scrips that contributed in the index’s decline were HUBC (-2.10%), MARI (-3.31%), ENGRO (-0.97%), OGDC (-0.82%) and PMPK (-5.00%).

The index observed trading of 55 million shares of the listed scrips, having a total value of Rs. 3.64 billion. Within a range of 391 points, the index touched an intra-day high of 38,593 points and an intra-day low of 38,202 points.

The broader KSE All Share index depicted an almost parallel performance, as it lost around 145 points and closed at 28,101 points. It traded nearly 81 million shares, having a value of Rs. 4.2 billion.
