MoC to start new round of Tariff Rationalization

September 3, 2021 (MLN): Ministry of Commerce (MoC) will start the new round of Tariff Rationalisation in the month of September to stimulate industrial growth further, said Abdul Razak Dawood.

Advisor to PM for Commerce and Investment said on his Twitter handle, “The sectors that we are going to focus on are; iron & steel, auto, packaging material, agriculture, footwear, plastics, etc.”

In this regard, the business and industry are requested to send their proposals to the National Tariff Commission (NTC) so that these can be included in the final package, he noted.

The MOC will continue its policy to consult the stakeholders before taking major decisions.
