Govt cuts petrol by Rs1, raises diesel by Rs3.37 from July 28

July 27, 2026 (MLN): The government has increased the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs3.37 per liter to Rs386.83, while cutting the price of petrol by Rs1 per liter to Rs334.18, effective July 28, 2026.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the revised ex-depot prices have been notified by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) based on the pricing mechanism issued by the federal government.

Under the current mechanism, OGRA computes and notifies petroleum prices on a daily basis. The previous prices, effective July 25, were Rs335.18 per litre for petrol and Rs383.46 per litre for HSD.
