PDWP approves 2 development schemes worth Rs 5489.168m

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) Friday approved two development schemes in the roads sector at an estimated cost of Rs 5489.168 million.

These schemes were approved in the 53rd meeting of PDWP of the current fiscal year (2017-18), presided over by Chairman P&D Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.

All members of the Planning & Development Board, provincial secretaries concerned, Assistant Chief P&D Coordination-II Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.

The approved development schemes included: Construction of bridge at Chak Nizam on River Jhelum in district Mandi Bahauddin at the cost of Rs 3961.748 million and widening/improvement of 42km road from Wazirabad to Kot Harra, Gujranwala at a cost of Rs 1527.420 million – APP/AFP
